RETURNS FOR SECOND GREAT YEAR

NORWOOD – So good, it had to come back!

The ultimate showcase of business, activities and fun in Asphodel-Norwood returns for another day of festivities on Saturday, May 16th. And it’s all free.

As the holiday weekend kicks off the summer season, the Asphodel-Norwood Community Centre becomes the hub of the festivities. The township, in partnership with Foodland Ontario, welcomes you to discover the people, organizations and businesses that make it such a special place. Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy the entertainment, food tasting, demonstrations and displays as the township shows the world why it makes sense to live, work, play and invest in one of Ontario’s most vibrant environments.

Activities begin at the community centre at 9 a.m. and continue until 1 p.m.

In addition to the free sampling of locally-produced fare in the Millennium Room, visitors will have the opportunity to hear local farming experts discuss how foods such as maple syrup, honey and garden produce arrive at their tables.

Meanwhile, in the main arena the Donegal Fiddlers, Tai Chi demonstrators and the
IODE baby show take to the stage to provide entertainment for all ages.

Top that off with balloon animals, face painting, Sparky the Fire Dog, mini-putt, Milk- Maple-the-Cow, door prizes and free popcorn and you have a day of fun, food, and the best in local businesses awaiting you and your family.
